US performing arts camp: promoting American artists

About the US performing arts camp

The mission of the arts and theater academy is to develop and promote the progress of performing arts artists in the United States. When this school was established, the mission was to present excellent arts training, both in media and performing arts. The academy has set out, creating summer programs which would provide talented and passionate students the chance to perfect their skill with the finest arts experts in the land.

The very first collaborator of US performing arts camp was the school of television and theater film of UCLA. Today there are 11 locations established in different regions across the nation. It presented 26 fields training programs in theater television, film, dance and several digital media. The mission remains all the same.

The US performing arts camp is composed of guest professionals and professional faculty in various departments. They also provide locations and programs where they have partnered with the finest program directors. Among the few are Robert Pullen who is the current producing director of Kennedy Center, Dinah Lenney who is training the students in Pepperdine and New York University and Peter Exline, a professor in Pepperdine University, who currently runs three programs in digital filming.

US performing arts camp is designed as a conservatory style scheme which encourages students to perform collaboratively to achieve high goals. Some course programs are one-week long while some takes two weeks. Several students also spend summer time learning their chosen craft.
