Institutions that Offer Performing Arts Summer Programs

Many individuals love to sing, dance and act. Others collaborate their talents of singing, acting and dancing by appearing in theatrical performances. But before individuals particularly young ones would have to impart and showcase their talents before an audience, they may have to learn new and helpful means to improve their talents by attending in performing arts schools. For young individuals that attend in home schools, they can opt for schools that can offer performing arts summer programs during summer season.

Performing arts summer programs may range in scopes. The number of programs depends on the policy of the school that provides the kind of summer programs. Idyllwild Arts Academy is a boarding school in the West Coast of America. Founded in 1986, the academy has college preparatory programs where students in 9-12 grades are trained in various academic programs including performing arts.

Idyllwild Summer Program is offered by Idyllwild Arts for over 50 years. The campus site is located in San Jacinto Mountains in California. The institution has various courses for children, youths and adults.

Oklahoma City University Performing Arts Summer Programs include pre-college programs for talented students who are vocalists and/or instrumentalists. The programs offered by one of the recognized institutions in Oklahoma have standards set by the OCU. Its notable alumni include Kelli OHara, Ron Raines, Kristin Chenoweth, Leona Mitchell, Edgar Cruz and Mason Williams.

Students of the performing arts summer programs offered by OCU are housed in Bass Music Center, a 38-million music facility.

Flint Institute of Music also offers performing arts summer programs. Called Flint School of Performing Arts Summer Programs, the institution can provide dance and music instruction to beginners and advanced ones. The classes of the summer programs take place at Flint Cultural Center.
